Sixmilecross is a small village in County Tyrone, Northern Ireland. It is said to be derived from a Celtic cross that stood in a field at the top of the village and also from its distance of six Irish miles from Omagh. The original
Irish name for Sixmilecross is 'Na Corracha Mora' meaning the round hills. Sixmilecross is one of the few villages in County Tyrone that lost all connect with its Irish root name.

The Olde Post Office, Dunmoyle, Co Tyrone is ideally located in the centre of Ulster.
Ulster is composed of nine counties. Six of these make up Northern Ireland: Antrim, Armagh, Down, Fermanagh, Londonderry and Tyrone. The three remaining counties are in the Republic of Ireland: Cavan, Donegal and Monaghan.
